Last weekend the fourth and fifth round of the Assoluti d’Italia of Enduro took place and the small village of Piediluco, in the province of Terni and a few kilometres far away from the Marmore Falls, hosted the event. The Motoclub Racing Terni has prepared three demanding special tests in which the riders had to face in close sequence the Extreme and the Cross Test, CO1, Enduro Test and CO2. All the Team JET Zanardo Husqvarna riders were present at Piediluco, Joe Wootton, Jamie McCanney, the Australian rider Andrew Wilcksch and Davide Soreca, in the 250 4T class, who returned after injury. The Liguria-based rider had an incredible first day of racing, finishing on the podium and taking third. Davide Soreca, after a long period of inactivity was able to record excellent times in all three special tests. Despite the fatigue and pains of the injured hand on Sunday, Davide Soreca managed to take fourth place in the 250 4T class. In the Foreigners class our three riders competed against each other and on Saturday McCanney, Wootton and Wilcksch made it into the top ten. The following day Joe Wootton and Jamie McCanney improved on the opening day’s performance and both recorded good times in all three special tests. The next appointment is scheduled in the small town of Fabriano, in the Marche region, on Sunday 16th May, where the sixth round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro will take place.
