REDONDI WINGS GREESE GP

REDONDI WINGS GREESE GP
17/06/2019

After five years, World EnduroGP Championship is back to Greece, in Serres, for the fifth national race in this season. Very hard competition not only for the stifling heat, but also for two violent storms; this made the circuit and the three different special races – a sequence of 11 timed races on Saturday (Supertest in the late Friday afternoon included) and 10 timed races on Sunday – even more difficult. While aiming to be among the protagonist teams, JET-Zanardo Team hit the target through the splendid Redondi, the winner of E2 class and fifth in EnduroGP thanks to the victory in four special races and excellent timing in all remaining races, despite he had lost more than thirty seconds for some mistakes in two races. After starting resolute to repeat the win, Red immediately scored the best time in the first cross test, but in the following test a fall and a collision with a tree made him lose thirteen minutes. After getting past the finish line, he stopped to get medical assistance to examine him, who was diagnosed with suspect fracture of two ribs and some contusions: despite all, Redondi kept on running and managed to end eighth and confirmed the fourth position in the championship parade, nine points less than the leader. Difficult race for Joe Wootton in E2 class who is bound to withdrawal on Sunday for a fall in extreme test, after the sixth position on Saturday. Ruy Barbosa ended on forth place the test of Absolute Junior on Saturday and second in EJ2. Next race for JET-Zanardo Team is GP of Italy, the 43rd Bergamo Valleys in Rovetta (BG) planned from June 21st to June 23rd.
