The Assoluti d’Italia Enduro doesn’t stop and after the first round that took place on the first weekend of March, the Husqvarna JET Zanardo team moved to Sicily for the second and third round of the top Italian enduro championship. Custonaci, as in 2017, hosted the event on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March and the motoclub drew a race worthy of a world championship round. In the Sicilian village the Husqvarna JET Zanardo team presented its new addition, Jamie McCanney, the Isle of Man rider paid for his absence in the enduro world of these years spent in rallies but recorded some excellent times in the challenging and technical enduro test and cross test. It was a promising debut, considering that Jamie McCanney was only able to ride the new bike for a few hours before the Sicilian trip for a quick set-up. Joe Wootton raced the first race of the season at Custonaci, the British rider is recovering from a bad injury and Joe as well as Jamie from the next race will start to give some satisfaction to the Husqvarna JET Zanardo team. The Australian rider Andrew Wilcksch continues his growth in a championship and with races totally different from the ones he raced last year. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April the fourth and fifth rounds of the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro will be held at Piediluco in the province of Terni.
