Over two month after last race in Fabbrica Curone (AL), the last week end was raced in Carsoli (AQ) the fifth round of the Enduro Italian Championship. Despite the long summer break Team Honda-Red Moto-Zanardo didn’t get caught flat-footed with an amazing Alex Salvini. In fact, Salvini was the winner of the overall standing and of the E2 class after an epic battle for the supremacy with the Italian-French Antoine Meo. At the end of the twelve special tests, Salvini with the Honda CRF 450R Enduro managed to prevail on Meo for 2 seconds and 6 cents, a clear sign of the great fight between these two champions, who competed for the victory in a race of over one hour and three minutes. Salvini dominated E2 class too, winning seven on twelve special tests with more than a minute of gap on Montanari, despite a couple of mistakes in the special test. Good performance for Alessandro Battig too, who got the third place in E1 class despite two falls on the first and third laps, confirming his leadership in the championship.
