SECOND STAGE OF EWC PORTOGALLO 2016

SECOND STAGE OF EWC PORTOGALLO 2016
18/04/2016

The Portuguese weekend was not started in the best way for the Jolly Racing Team with the decision not to attend the event for our Mirko Gritti causes a broken meniscus worsened during the inaugural Grand Prix of Morocco. Several weeks before the event and during the whole race weekend strong downpours have hit the small town of Gouveia and the three special test and since Saturday the route have been subject to cuts and changes. Throughout all the race weekend our rider of the Junior class Michele Marchelli had at his side two “shadows” of the highest level, the team manager Franco Mayr and the rider injured Mirko Gritti. The first day of the race did not go as hoped and Michele has suffered the mud and the Portuguese channels but on Day 2 the turning point, the Italian rider changes gears and enters in the three special test with an incredible determination. After the long day of competition Michele Marchelli enters in the Top Ten of the Junior class to the happiness of the whole team.

MICHELE MARCHELLI

“The race started well and in the prologue on Friday evening I reached a good location with a small bonus. Yesterday, a real disaster and I have not really digested well the portoguese mud.Today, however, much better with the great joy of reaching the tenth place of class”.
