The sixth round of the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro took place on Sunday 16th May in Fabriano, in the province of Ancona. The Motoclub Artiglio has designed, as in 2016 at the World Championship, three very challenging and technical special tests made even more difficult by the rain that fell in the on race day. The Husqvarna JET Zanardo Team came to Fabriano with the complete line-up of Italian rider Davide Soreca, the British team led by Jamie McCanney and Joe Wootton and finally the Australian rider Andrew Wilcksch. In the 250 4T class our rider Davide Soreca, after a double injury, was once again on the podium after an excellent race. The Liguria-based rider recorded good times in all three special tests. Andrew Wilcksch ran a splendid race in the Foreigner class and entered the Top Ten. The Australian rider is improving race after race and here in Fabriano he recorded his best result since he moved to Europe. In eleventh position another of our riders, Joe Wootton. The English rider recorded some very good times in the special Enduro Test but found many difficulties in the logs and stones of the Extreme Test. Unlucky race for Jamie McCanney, the English rider fell badly to the ground during the second lap of the Enduro Test. Jamie McCanney suffered a severe contusion to his right knee and after trying to ride the following special test, Cross Test, in agreement with the team he retired in order not to compromise the start of the world season. The next round of the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro will take place on Sunday 6th June in Sarnico, Bergamo.
