DOUBLE VICTORY IN ENDURO GP

Second to last Grand Prix of World EnduroGP Championship 2020 in Portugal in Marco De Canaveses in the weekend of 6th – 8th November; a race that offered a new big emotion to Fantic D’Arpa Racing Team, that seized a new double extraordinary victory with the British rider Jed Liam Etchells, of the Isle of Man, the stronger and stronger national parade leader in Youth class, with the Fantic XE 125 2T. Perfectly organised by Motor Clube Marco in this Portuguese little town which lies in Porto district, the race was run indoor in compliance with anti Covid-19 normative. To enter the paddock and the special races, riders and authorised personnel had to submit to serological test and get a valid pass for the three race days. The test must be repeated the following week. Motor Clube Marco, in collaboration with Portuguese Motorbike Federation and Pedro Mariano, the resident FMI race director, was very good at preparing a very big entirely enclosed paddock. So Etchells seized his fifth win, with the new Fantic XE 125 2T, after the two wins in Italy and France GP’s on Sunday, where on the opposite on Saturday he ended on fourth position. Etchells got 8 victories, 8 second places, 1 fourth and 1 sixth place out of 18 special races in the two days. If on Saturday he won by 30 seconds advantage over the one who placed second, on Sunday Etchells was very good at getting the victory thanks to the extraordinary times he recorded on the last special races, which were even better than the ones of Junior class riders, with bikes having bigger cubic capacity than Fantic XE 125 2T. Hugo Svard was seventh and fifth on a difficult track and very difficult weather conditions, with rain and mud. Next meeting for the riders of Fantic D’Arpa Racing Team with World EnduroGP Championship, the second Grand Prix of Portugal in Marco De Canaveses from 13th to 15th November.
