A satisfying weekend for the Team Jet Zanardo colors and its riders Joe Wootton and Ruy Barbosa at the Italian GP, second round of the enduro world championship. On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September the Italian GP was raced in Spoleto and the three special tests designed by Motoclub Spoleto were selective, fast and spectacular. The first day of competition was used by the Team Jet Zanardo riders to get into gear, in Day One both Joe Wootton in the E2 class and the Chilean rider Ruy Barbosa in the Junior class failed to shine and to be incisive. On Day2 Joe Wootton struggled from the first special tests to be able to snatch the first podium of the season. The British rider with an extraordinary last lap has collected a third place in the E2 class in which runs the reigning champion and multiple world champion Steve Holcombe. Ruy Barbosa also ran an incredible race. Starting immediately strong, the Chilean rider fought throughout the race to reach the top positions of the Junior. Too bad for a few mistakes too many but despite everything Ruy Barbosa managed to win the first place in the Junior1 class. Team Jet Zanardo and its riders will now move to Lombardia to run the double round of the Italian enduro championship to be held this weekend in Darfo Boario Terme.
